The Sex and Gender Equity in Research guidelines comprise a summary of pertinent points for implementing sex- and gender-based analysis in research and editorial practices. It is critical that authors, reviewers, and editorial staff are cognizant of sex- and gender-based analysis in every component of the research-to-publication pipeline (Table).
