Open Call for Editors

The Journal of Urology® (JU), Urology Practice® (UPJ), and AUANews

The following positions are open on the Editorial Boards of our AUA scholarly publications. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, please send a letter of interest (LOI) and your CV, which should highlight your publications/peer review/editorial board experience, to publications@AUANet.org. The LOI must include the specific position you are applying for and your vision for the specific journal. You are welcome to express interest in more than one of these openings, but you must include your order of preference for each role. All terms are for 3 years, renewable one time, with the exception of the JU Early Career Editor role, which is 2 years and not renewable.

Please note that JU Open Plus does not have any open Editorial Board roles at this time.

Your LOI and CV are due to the Editorial Office by Friday, December 22, 2023, at 12 midnight Eastern.

Associate Editor (one opening): responsible for handling submissions on urodynamics, female urology, incontinence, voiding function, neurogenic bladder; considered a member of the Senior Editor leadership team

Pediatrics Section Editor (one opening): responsible for handling all pediatrics submission and oversight of the Pediatrics Editorial Committee; considered a member of the Senior Editor leadership team

Pediatrics Assistant Editor (one opening): responsible for assisting the Pediatrics Section Editor

Pediatrics Editorial Committee (six openings): responsible for supporting the Pediatrics Section and Assistant Editors in disposition of Pediatrics-focused submissions

Early Career Editor (four openings): responsible for supporting the Associate and Assistant Editors as subject matter experts and in representing JU as ambassadors for peer review training courses and in the urological community.
